ลงพื้นที่กองทัพภาคที่ 1 อำเภออรัญประเทศ จังหวัดสระแก้ว โดยมี พลโท อมฤต บุญสุยา แม่ทัพภาคที่ 1 ให้การต้อนรับคณะผู้สังเกตการณ์ฯ นำโดย พลจัตวา ซัมซุล ริซัล บิน มูซา (Brigadier General Samsul Rizal bin Musa) ผู้ช่วยทูตฝ่ายทหารมาเลเซีย ประจำกรุงเทพฯ ในฐานะหัวหน้าคณะ IOT Thailand ขณะที่
ฝ่ายกองทัพไทยมี พลตรี กรรณ บุญชัย รองเจ้ากรมข่าวทหาร เป็นหัวหน้าคณะ ฝ่ายกองทัพไทยการปฏิบัติภารกิจในครั้งนี้ คณะ IOT Thailand ได้เข้ารับฟังการบรรยายสรุปสถานการณ์ ณ กองพันทหารราบที่ 3 กรมทหารราบที่ 12 รักษาพระองค์ เพื่อรับทราบข้อมูลด้านการปฏิบัติภารกิจของกองกำลังป้องกันชายแดนใน
พื้นที่กองทัพภาคที่ 1 และรับทราบการละเมิด ข้อตกลงหยุดยิงในห้วงที่ผ่านมา จากนั้นได้เดินทางไปยังบ้านหนองจาน อำเภอโคกสูง จังหวัดสระแก้ว เพื่อสังเกตการณ์ การปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงหยุดยิง ในพื้นที่จริง พร้อมทั้งรับฟังข้อมูลผลกระทบโดยตรงจากประชาชนในพื้นที่ เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลและหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์ นำเรียนต่อหน่วยเหนือของแต่ละประเทศอย่างตรงไปตรงมาในการนี้ กองทัพไทยได้อาศัยกลไกคณะกรรมการชายแดนส่วนภูมิภาค (Regional Border Committee: RBC) ซึ่งเป็นกลไกความร่วมมือระดับทวิภาคีของฝ่ายไทยและกัมพูชา เพื่อใช้หารือเกี่ยวกับการบริหารจัดการ การพัฒนา และการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือในการรักษา
ความสงบเรียบร้อย รวมทั้งการแก้ไขปัญหาเฉพาะที่เกิดขึ้นบริเวณชายแดน ภายใต้กรอบข้อตกลงหยุดยิง การดำเนินการในครั้งนี้ แสดงให้เห็นอย่างชัดเจนว่า ประเทศไทยยืนหยัดอยู่บนพื้นฐานของกติกาสากลที่ถูกต้อง เปิดกว้างและโปร่งใสต่อการตรวจสอบจากนานาประเทศ ทั้งยังสะท้อนถึงความร่วมมืออันใกล้ชิดระหว่างกองทัพไทยกับประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ซึ่งจะเป็นรากฐานสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความเข้าใจอันดี และการประสานงานร่วมกันเพื่อธำรงไว้ซึ่งสันติภาพและความมั่นคงในภูมิภาค/////////Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters Leads Interim Observer Team (IOT Thailand) to Monitor Ceasefire Compliance in the 1st Army Area, Sa Kaeo Province On Friday, 22 August 2025, the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, by the Directorate of Joint Intelligence, organized a field visit for the Interim Observer Team Thailand (IOT Thailand), comprising defence attachés from ASEAN member states accredited to Thailand, to observe the implementation of the ceasefire agreement along the border area under the responsibility of the 1st Army Area in Aranyaprathet District, Sa Kaeo Province. The delegation was warmly received by Lt.Gen. Amarit Boonsuya, Commander of the 1st Army Area, Royal Thai Army.The IOT Thailand delegation was led by Brigadier General Samsul Rizal bin Musa, Malaysian Defence Attaché to Thailand, serving as the lead of IOT Thailand, while the Thai delegation was led by Maj.Gen. Kan Boonchai, Deputy Director of Joint Intelligence, Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters. As part of the mission, the IOT Thailand delegation attended a briefing session at the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, King’s Guard to receive updates on border defence operations and recent ceasefire violations within the 1st Army Area. The delegation then traveled to Ban Nong Chan in Khok Sung District, Sa Kaeo Province, where they observed ceasefire compliance on-site and engaged directly with local residents to gather firsthand information and evidence of the impacts. These findings will be reported transparently to the respective higher authorities of each member country. This mission was conducted under the framework of the Regional Border Committee (RBC), a bilateral military cooperation mechanism between Thailand and its neighboring countries. The RBC serves as a platform for discussing border management, promoting cooperation to maintain peace and order, and resolving specific issues arising along the border under the ceasefire agreement framework. This operation demonstrates Thailand’s unwavering commitment to upholding internationally recognized principles, maintaining transparency in allowing monitoring by the international community, and strengthening close collaboration with ASEAN member states.
